Sk'i-wit-sut Lighthouse Park Field Study

We spent a few hours doing a species inventory and walk at Sk'i-wit-sut Lighthouse Park. We observed old growth Cedar, Douglas Fir, Pinus Contorta, Arbutus and understory species such as salal, salmonberry, huckleberry, amongst others.

This field study is still being approved AND I need to collect remaining  consent forms.  Meanwhile, we will get into our study groups and do the following:

Create a trip safety plan:  30 marks  marks for each item below. Marks will be deducted if work is incomplete, late or incorrect.  5 marks deducted if it is not neatly done with good presentation values (attractive and organized)

1.  Names of group members, including cell phone numbers
2.  Name of group leader
3.  Draw a map of the park (copy it from this link)
4.  Make a detailed trip plan 
  a. how will you meet
  b. If we meet at Hudson bay downtown, which bus do we take to Lighthouse park especially if we take attendance at 9am? 
  c.  Which is the bus stop at lighthouse and name the one right before it.
  
5.  On your map of the park colour code our route
6.  What hazards are to be found at Juneper Point?  how do we mitigate those hazards?
7.  What hazards are possible when we walk through trails?
8.  What hazards exist at Lighthouse Park?

9.  What if a group member goes missing during our trip, what is your group response?
