The display will be called: Plants and Animals of our Pacific West Coast Ecosystem: Focus on BOGS
1. Create 8.5 x 11 signage that describes what the specimen is.& what adaptations it has. The signage ought to be large font letters at least 3cm high for titles and 1cm high for writing. Identify the specimen and state a few interesting facts about the specimen.
2. 8.5 x 11 drawing: DRAW A COLOURFUL picture of the specimen. You may reuse the skull diagram that you already made FYI
SPECIMENS:
1. One group will make a poster: using 3 x paper 8.5x11 inches
a. WHAT IS A BOG? What are the abiotic conditions HOW IS A BOG FORMED?
b. What is the keystone species of a bog? Sphagnum moss.
2. Labrador Tea and Kalmia : One of these is medicine, the other one poison. Can you tell the difference?
3. Sundew, a carnivorous plant
4. Beaver skull. How is a beaver adapted to cut trees? Is it predator or prey? coyote skull (confirm this identification). Identify the predator adaptations bobcat skull : Identify the predator adaptations
5. douglas squirrel and douglas fir cone
7. invasive species: Rat skeleton . Native species: Black Bear
8. BOGS PRESERVE THINGS. Describe how bogs can mummify things that fall into them.

c. Coins found in the bog.
