1. Draw the specimens OR photograph the specimen and add text to your photo to identify
this specimen.
a. What is the environment of the specimen?
b. How do the physical traits help the organism survive in this environment? Example, the
fluid dynamic shape of an orca helps it to hunt in its environment.
2. Identify homologous traits amongst at least two or more specimens . Label the traits that are
homologous.
3. Identify analogous traits amongst at least two or more specimens. Label these traits.
4. Group the specimens and tell me which are more likely to have a common ancestor? Which
specimens are more closely related and which are most likely not related.
